August Is Ben Fund Month
Thursday 30th July 2015
by Graeme Paterson
The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund are looking forward to a successful Ben Fund Month, starting tomorrow.
Throughout August, most tracks will be holding their annual collections for the Ben Fund. This will get underway at Peterborough on Sunday with the Fours. An editorial and advert in the Speedway Star magazine will promote the collections and the advert will run for four weeks.

Paul Ackroyd said: "The past winners of the highest collection Shield, Berwick, have already held their collection and raised £2,125. So we're really looking forward to the other clubs doing their bit and helping out what really is such a worthwhile cause so close to all of our hearts.

"Anyone who is unable to contribute at the track collections, but would like to help us, can donate through the website at www.srbf.co.uk"

He added: "The Ben Fund has been really busy this season with all of the injuries and currently there are 22 riders receiving help for serious injuries from the Fund."
