Bjarne Pedersen has confirmed his appearance in the Ben Fund Bonanza at King's Lynn on 12th March, even though he will not now be racing for Lakeside this season.
“Don't worry, I'll be there,” he said as he took the time to telephone organiser Paul Ackroyd, who was pleased with the commitment of the former Grand Prix star.

“He's such a nice guy, that was really good of him, he was concerned that I might think he would pull out after leaving Lakeside,” Ackroyd said, and there's no doubt that the riders have really rallied round the cause this year.

The same goes for the B.S.P.A. who have donated the first prize in the raffle which will take place on the day, that being tickets for two to every one of the major events this year – these include Premier League Riders, Championship Pairs and Fours plus the Elite League Riders Championship.

The kids will be catered for on the big day with two special attractions. “The Speedway Nut” will be doing tattoos for the kids with the first 50 in the gates getting theirs free, and Twistopher, a balloon specialist who is a long-term Speedway supporter from a Speedway family, will be showing off his skills.
