THE field for the 2022 Ben Fund Bonanza at Peterborough on March 27 is now up to 10 riders with the addition of testimonial men Lewis Kerr and Josh Auty, and Thomas Jorgensen and Ben Barker.

They join Scott Nicholls, Jordan Palin, Danny King, Charles Wright, Ulrich Ostergaard and Sam Masters as confirmed starters for the event at the East of England Arena.

Auty and Kerr celebrate their testimonials on March 19 and 20 respectively but were equally enthusiastic about putting themselves forward for the Ben Fund's flagship event.

Jorgensen likewise was keen to make an appearance in this year's Bonanza after scoring 11 points in the Scunthorpe meeting of 2020; the only British Speedway action attended by a crowd that year.

And fans will be delighted to learn of the return of Ben Barker to the roster, who has starred in every Ben Fund event since its introduction in 2009.

SRBF chairman Paul Ackroyd said: "There has and continues to be a lot of work going on behind the scenes as we build up to the 2022 Ben Fund Bonanza at Peterborough.

"We are delighted with how the field is shaping up and the addition of Lewis, Ben, Josh and Thomas has really bolstered the amount of talent that will be on show.

"Again, we would like to thank all the riders who have applied to us to take part in this meeting, and we do wish we could include every single one of them.

"Likewise to everyone who has applied to our Supporter Opportunities, your generosity is very much appreciated and we hope to put on a fantastic show for all who join us on the day.

"There are still sponsorship opportunities available and we would encourage anyone who is interested to have a look at what we have on offer and to get in touch."
