Hi All. Reflecting on Wales to Wroclaw, it is a week since I had the emergency hernia op, it has gone well and I will be OK. Let's look at the ride, we knew it would be tough, then doing it is the real test. Let's be clear each day was hard going, then some days required more of whatever it is than I ever thought I had.
It is how you deal with the conflict of the body saying stop and the mind saying keep going. On days 8 through to 11 talk about digging deep, 90+ miles each day for 4 days with climbs 4-5,000ft, you start to find your limits and somehow go beyond and find more. OK I may be sounding dramatic, it is just how it was. Would not have missed it for the world, a very worthwhile Mission for a worthy cause, with fantastic people.
Great to have Ove Fundin and Marek Ceislak join us on the last day. Big thank you to fellow riders John Curtis, Derek Richardson, support crew Sal (Savalis Clouting) and Gav (Gavin Rackham) all our associated families for letting us take on this Epic Mission, Paul Ackroyd and the SRBF team. Thanks Steph and Jackie for looking after me in Wroclaw.
