Remembering Len

The SRBF joins the rest of the Speedway World in mourning the passing of the great Len Silver, rider, promoter and track curator supreme.
Len was a massive supporter of the Speedway Riders Benevolvent Fund and staged probably the most successful Ben Fund Bonanza at Rye House in 2010 when over 4,000 people attended a star-studded event.
Paul Ackroyd commented "Len was always one of the first to notify me if one of his riders had been injured. As a referee, one always had to be on top of the game when meeting up with Len!
"Len always told me that one of his proudest moments in Speedway apart from preparing the 1981 World Final track at Wembley, was to stage that memorable 2010 Bonanza."
