The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund is delighted to receive a generous £2,000 donation from Viridor, one of the UK's leading innovators in resource recovery and recycling, committed to transforming waste for a climate-positive future.

Each year, Viridor selects a number of charities to support, and we are grateful to Lee Smith, a long-standing Berwick supporter and Viridor employee, for nominating the Ben Fund—an application that was proudly accepted by the company.

Lee and his wife Lindsay are passionate supporters of the Ben Fund and firmly believe in the vital work it does to support riders in times of need. Without this support, many of our favourite riders simply wouldn't be able to take to the track each weekend.

Both Lee and Lindsay have supported the Berwick Bandits for over 15 years and can be found helping out in the H Bar at Shielfield Park every Saturday. Lee's favourite rider is Jye Etheridge, while Lindsay's was Ricky Wells.

The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund would like to place on record its heartfelt thanks to Viridor and Lee for helping to promote our charity and make this wonderful donation possible.
